Carers – The unknown heroes
Carers Week 2020 | 8 June – 14 June.
There are an estimated 6.5 million carers in UK. These people are making an enormous contribution to society. That’s 1 in 8 adults who care, unpaid, for family and friends. Within our lifetime, there will be 9 million carers.
They are unknown heroes holding families together and enabling loved ones to get most out of life.
If you care for or help a partner, friend, relative or neighbour who has an illness, physical or mental health difficulty, then you are a carer. If you would like to be added to our Carers’ Register, please ask at reception for a Carers’ Registration Form.
There are lots of charities, services, groups and schemes in the local area that we recommend to patients who may benefit from them. Please visit our webpage here to access more information.
