CARERS AND LOCAL COMMUNITY

Murakami Medical Centre recognises the extremely valuable work undertaken by carers in the community.

The practice is keen to provide information and support to people who are carers. The practice works closely with the Carers’ Liaison Service which has provided the practice with Carers’ Information Packs. The packs give a variety of information on specialist support groups and contact telephone numbers for information. If you care for or help a partner, friend, relative or neighbor who has an illness, physical or mental health difficulty, then you are a carer. If you would like to be added to our Carers’ Register, please ask at reception for a Carers’ Registration Form.

There are lots of charities, services, groups and schemes in the local area that we recommend to patients who may benefit from them. Please have a look at some of them here. You can also visit their website by clicking on the name.
