Dr. Renatta Murakami

I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and I had my medicine graduation at the Universidade de Metropolitana de Santos. After university, I worked as a family doctor for a year and a half and then I started my journey in the Dermatology field. I completed my Dermatology Specialization at the Hospital Infantil Darcy Vargas, São Paulo. Since then, I began to work at my clinic, as a medical director and providing consultations and dermatological procedures for private patients and medical insurances for ten years.

I moved to London in 2015, and my motivation always was to broaden my knowledge and skills in Dermatology. While I was waiting for my General Medical Council registration in the UK, I had the opportunity to be involved in an NHS practice in London, where I worked as a phlebotomist as well as administrative functions.

After this period, I got involved with my Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology at the Queen Mary University of London. I work in an NHS hospital as a speciality doctor in Dermatology, and now I am proud to run my practice in the vibrant North London.

Skin conditions also have a significant social and psychological impact. I love dermatology for its ability to improve the patient’s self-esteem, emotional well-being and social interaction – as well as aiding their overall health.

I have specialised in a range of conditions, including general dermatology, paediatric dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.

I am a member of the Conselho Regional de Medicina de São Paulo (CREMESP), General Medical Council (GMC), British Medical Association (BMA), Independent Doctor Federation (IDF), British Association of Dermatology (BAD), British Cosmetic Dermatology Group (BCDG) , Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS), Infection Prevention Society (IPS).
